How to Winterize Your Vehicle

- Check Tire Tread
Some areas do not need to switch their summer tires for winter tires. If you live in an area with heavy snowfall, you should install winter tires onto your vehicle. However, if your winters are relatively mild, you can get away with driving on all-season tires. Before winter, Catlett’s Service Center & Towing can check your tire tread. Bald tires are a recipe for disaster when driving in slippery conditions, such as on snow or ice. You need as much tire thread as possible when driving in winter conditions.
- Check Battery Life
Batteries deplete at a faster rate in cold conditions. Checking your battery life before winter gives you an idea of what battery life is left.
